Revisited: United States to New Zealand YouShop Alternatives

I am always on the look-out for reliable and cheap services to ship goods from the United States to New Zealand.

Unfortunately my favourite service (Opas) was sold to another freight forwarding company in the US, who are by far the most expensive.

I tend to avoid NZ Post YouShop for the reasons listed previously. They are expensive and do not accept li-ion batteries. At the moment they are running an app refresh promotion which gives another 20% off their listed quotes for freight (still not great).
